Our facility

A purpose built facility, The Doctor House has a number of special design features.

  • High ceilings and a Cardiffair system provide a healthy airflow throughout the building. This ensures airborne pathogens do not remain in the building and during summer faster drawing of air keeps a cooling flow of air and avoids the drawbacks and high energy consumption of air-conditioning.

  • Numerous obscure glass windows, including fixed panes above the verandah and skylights in the central rooms, maximise natural light and minimise the need for additional lighting. The obscure glass allows plenty of light in while maintaining privacy.

  • Medical records are stored on a server computer, which is housed in a secure, fire-proof room for the security of your records.

  • An uninterruptible power supply with a back-up generator prevents data loss during power outages and allows our practice to function during natural disasters.

  • A dedicated ambulance entry with direct access to our treatment room allows patient transfers without having to go through the waiting area.

  • A dedicated drop-off zone at the front doors is for the convenience of all and acts as a loading zone for delivery of both goods and people to the front door.

  • Our fish tank functions both as a divider between reception and the waiting area to improve privacy and is for your enjoyment as well.

  • Our treatment room has a sink with a tap operated by a foot-pedal for enhanced infection control, three beds and a private nurse’s consulting room.

  • An integrated security system and camera helps ensure the security of confidential information and our medical equipment.
